Constant Technologies in Philadelphia for NeoCon East 2017
Constant Technologies attended NeoCon East in Philadelphia November 15-16. The two-day event for commercial interior design was held at the Philadelphia Convention Center and welcomed attendees from the fields of interior design, architecture and General Services Administration (GSA), among others. As network operations center designers and manufacturers of command center workstations and control room furniture, Constant Technologies attended the event to gain fresh insights into operations center design concepts and to meet new contacts in the field. The showroom floor was also a valuable opportunity to meet with vendors used by Constant for console furniture accessories such as monitor arms and task lighting.
An especially important part of the Constant team’s trip to NeoCon East was the opportunity to participate in a furniture event hosted by the GSA Quality Partnership Council (QPC). The QPC meeting, held on Thursday November 16, featured speakers from groups such as the GSA Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center, the GSA Federal Acquisition Service, and the Navy Strategic Sourcing Program Management Office. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Huntsville Center gave updates and hosted a session on performance expectations for GSA Schedule 71 contract holders. As new Schedule 71 GSA Furniture contract holders, Constant Technologies attended this session to ensure a thorough introduction to the world of GSA. The event was advantageous, as it provided an opportunity to meet with fellow GSA furniture manufacturers as well as package room dealers and other valuable contacts. Constant Currently has two GSA console furniture lines available: the Contender is a fixed height operations center console, and Freedom is an adjustable height command center console. The Constant team is excited to continue to foster the relationships started at NeoCon East.
