Keeping up to date on the latest industry trends is a consistent priority for Constant. Typically, this takes shape as conference attendance and continuing education. In 2020, however, things look a bit different.

As providers of furniture for mission critical operations, Constant makes a point to attend NeoCon each year. Since its inception, NeoCon has been the most important event of the year for the commercial design industry. Under normal circumstances, the event takes place over several floors of Chicago’s Merchandise Mart. This year, since large gatherings have been put on hold due to the pandemic, NeoCon has shifted online to “NeoConnect” through the end of June.

The offerings this year are a bit different too; the usual workshops on commercial design trends now also feature an emphasis on how to design for “the new normal.”

NeoCon’s “NeoConnect” Programming

Some key subjects from this year’s virtual conference include how to be proactive and future-proof your business, something that has become clearly important based on this year’s events. Other topics include “Survival of the Fittest 2.0: Embracing and Thriving While Reimagining Everything” and a presentation from the Metropolis Sustainability Lab on how the current pandemic crisis can move sustainability campaigns to the next level.

In addition to the programming that reflects our current times, there are also more standard sessions about commercial design trends including color forecasts and product previews.

During this season of change, Constant is embracing adaptability and continual learning. Members of the Constant team will be attending the NeoCon 2020 sessions to make sure that regardless of circumstances, we remain on the cutting edge of commercial design trends in order to provide operations centers that balance both form and function.
