About the Glendale Police Department
The Glendale Police Department serves a community of approximately 200,000 residents, a population that often increases to nearly 700,000 during daytime hours. The city is home to major retail and commercial centers, including the Glendale Galleria.
To address modern public safety challenges, such as transient crime, organized retail theft, large-scale public events, and the need for rapid, data-driven incident response, the department identified the need for a centralized Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC). The RTIC was designed to unify disparate live data streams and strengthen operational coordination across the department.
- Renderings: Early design renderings provided a clear visualization of the future RTIC, including six adjustable-height workstations, a large-format video wall, and a dedicated supervisor conference room.
