NSCA, the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial systems integration industry, announced the winners of the 2020 Excellence in Business awards on Feb 19. There were winners in each of 6 categories; Constant Technologies won in the category of “Strategic Transformation.”

Constant Technologies wins for Strategic Transformation

At Constant, we focus on mission critical, 24/7 operations centers. The core of our business is built around being able to understand customers’ mission critical AV needs, then designing solutions and offering on-going support.

As integrators, our philosophy has always been to focus on our highly specific area of expertise and grow with the industry. The need for mission critical is not going anywhere; in fact, it’s diversifying across vertical markets and showing up in new industries.

Critical operations centers can take many forms, and in recent years we’ve seen the number of potential applications expand exponentially. An operations center serves as a “nerve center,” providing unified oversight and control of an organization’s most important functions. A wide range of applications includes cybersecurity operations, network operations, and physical security operations. In recent years our project portfolio has expanded to include marketing hubs, fleet operations centers, and hospital mission control rooms, among others.

From protecting against financial fraud in the banking sector to protecting and securing user data for social media companies, the cyber world has proven that all sectors need monitor and keep their organization and customers safe.  Additionally, technology that we integrate has given the ability for multi-site capabilities with content sharing. This has created client demand to outfit multiple centers in different regions with the same look, feel, and technical implementation. Video wall systems with collaborative, content-sharing processing solutions have been a huge driver of growth in recent years.

As service providers in the mission critical space, we have had to adapt to learn about these new applications. We have also worked to discover how different industries approach their mission critical spaces in diverse ways.

Regardless of industry vertical, technology offerings in these environments must be held to a higher standard to withstand constant use 24/7/365. While our market’s growth has provided new challenges, we’ve risen to the challenge with a strategy of focusing on the quality of products we use in our customized solutions.  As an integrator we remain brand agnostic. Our focus is always on the client and the needs of their specific space; more than anything we are committed to providing them with the best possible products for their application.

“We’ve evolved from what people think of as mission-critical to what it means for all of our customers,” says president Brad Righi. Constant has also eliminated territories and developed what Righi calls “wider and deeper relationships with our existing client base.”

When it comes to the service we give our clients, at Constant it always comes back to our carefully-curated team.  In everything from our meticulous design effort to after sales support, Constant approaches each aspect with the commitment to exceed customer expectations and go above and beyond. Our team carefully handles every step of a project to ensure the site is ready and that the process is as easy as possible for the client. The pride in workmanship that our installers take along the efforts of all departments over the duration of a project is a significant driver of our growth.

Award winners were recognized at NSCA’s 22nd annual Business & Leadership Conference on Feb. 26-28, 2020, in Irving, TX. Representatives from each company discussed their unique strategies during a panel discussion. Constant’s president Brad Righi attended the event to discuss Constant’s strategic growth.
