Constant Technologies: 2017 Year in Review

Constant Technologies

2017 has been a big year for Constant Technologies. With new hires, new challenges, and more projects than ever, we are grateful for the growth we’ve seen this year and expect to continue into next year. The following are some highlights from the past twelve months.

GSA:

Constant has decades of experience crafting custom operations center furniture and control room consoles. In order to simplify the ordering process for our valued government clients, Constant developed two standard command center consoles, the Freedom and Contender, and in late 2017 was awarded a GSA contract. As a supplier on the GSA schedule, Constant Technologies now has the ability to work with a broader range of government clients and offer best possible pricing to federal agencies.

Recognition:

Notably, Constant Technologies was named one of the “World’s Greatest” by How2Media. As part of this honor, Constant was featured as part of Episode 246 of the media company’s television show World’s Greatest. Hosted by Leslie Gant, the informative show gives an in-depth, behind the scenes look at notable companies, products, and places around the world. Constant was recognized for their mission critical installations, NOC design, and video wall systems integration. Producers traveled to Boston, Massachusetts to meet with Constant and tour one of Constant’s installations at Akamai Technologies. The production team interviewed Brad Righi, President of Constant Technologies, and Project Director Heather Conover as well as Akamai’s former Director of Media Operations, Matt Azzarto.

Constant’s appearance on World’s Greatest was not the only public recognition received in 2017; Constant Technologies was also recognized as one of the Top 50 Integrators by SCN Magazine for the second year in a row. Part of an exclusive group in the continually growing audio-visual integration industry, Constant is honored to have been selected. Encouragingly, Constant’s 2017 ranking rose from our 2016 placement on the list, a trend we hope to continue in future years.

Conference Attendance:

This year Constant attended beneficial industry events around the country.

In late September, Constant attended the ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Dallas, TX, and served as one of hundreds of distinguished exhibitors. The event was a great opportunity to meet professionals in the security industry and make multiple beneficial contacts with potential clients and partners. Because Constant is a mission critical AV integrator that can choose from among the best technologies for our command center installations, Constant also featured Planar display technology in our ASIS 2017 booth to create a more complete picture of operations center design. As new GSA Contract holders, Constant also displayed a demo of the new Freedom adjustable height operations center console which is available on the GSA Schedule.

In November, Constant sales and marketing professionals attended NeoCon East in Philadelphia to meet with vendors and to participate in an event hosted by the GSA Quality Partnership Council (QPC). The QPC meeting, held on Thursday November 16, featured speakers from groups such as the GSA Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center, the GSA Federal Acquisition Service, and the Navy Strategic Sourcing Program Management Office. The two-day conference provided valuable insight into commercial interior design and fosters relationships with GSA contacts. Constant is excited to continue the relationships started at NeoCon East as we move into 2018.

Exciting Projects:

Over 2017 Constant worked on several exciting projects, from large scale operations centers with ample space for operators to smaller command center installations big on aesthetics. One of our favorite projects of 2017 was a Security Operations Command Center with LED accent lighting on the underside of the consoles that could be easily changed by using the video wall controller. This created a dramatic, sleek look that we look forward to using in future installations. In December, Constant worked on one of our largest command center installations ever, creating a space with hundreds of control room workstations.

New Clients:

2017 introduced Constant to valuable and exciting partnership opportunities with several new global clients. With commissions for multiple installation projects at their various locations across the globe, we look forward to continuing these rewarding partnerships into 2018 and welcome our new valued clients.

Travel:

At Constant Technologies, our dedicated team is frequently on the road. Because we work with so many global command centers, particularly those with follow the sun models, our operations center installations take us all over the world. In 2017, Constant team members traveled to places such as London, New York City, the Philippines, Ireland, Hungary, Singapore, and Poland for installations, trainings, or service.

Continued Partnerships:

As a mission critical systems integrator, Constant continues to enjoy partnerships with first-class companies such as Planar that provide a variety of technologies for our video wall installations. We choose from among the best products rated for 24/7 video wall use and benefit greatly from these partnerships with audio visual manufacturers.

As we close out this year, Constant looks forward to what 2018 brings – new projects, new clients, and new travels. We are planning changes to our office space to accommodate growth, increase collaboration, and create a client-facing space such as a customer experience center with our custom mission critical consoles and video wall integration to produce a full-scale operations center demo. For everyone that made 2017 a spectacular year for Constant, thank you.
