As mission critical AV integrators, we work in an industry that constantly innovates. Remaining up-to-date on the latest trends in commercial AV is imperative for us to continue providing the best 24/7 video wall solutions.

InfoComm 2018 Las Vegas

From June 6 – 8, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada, AVIXA hosted Infocomm, which is the largest technology exhibition and conference in North America that focuses on the pro-AV industry. Several representatives from Constant Technologies attended the event, which attracted nearly 43,000 registered attendees from all over the US as well as 108 countries. InfoComm featured 964 exhibitors in a massive expo which spanned 550,000 square feet, making it the biggest InfoComm to date.

“It’s a great and important time to be in AV,” said David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD and the CEO of AVIXA, “connection people and changing the way they experience the world around them.” For an industry that connects people, InfoComm served as an additional opportunity to connect as a professional community.

Danny Sasseville, Vice President of Project Engineering at Constant Technologies, reflected on the event: “We had great meetings with existing vendors where we learned about their new products and continued to strengthen our business relationships. InfoComm also gave us fantastic opportunities to meet with new vendors in the areas where we are looking to broaden our product offerings, which enables us to provide our clients with the latest and greatest in mission critical AV products keeping future industry trends in mind.”

8K Video wall at InfoComm

At InfoComm Constant saw various AV solutions with mission critical applications. Current AV industry trends include collaborative meeting technology, commercial applications for IoT and AI technology, and cutting edge video wall technology. As command center video wall installers, Constant was particularly interested in the video wall technology at InfoComm as well as switchers, processors, controllers, and all other aspects of video wall integration. LED video walls and LCD display wall technology have been mainstays of the industry for quite some time, with 4K only recently arriving on the scene. However, InfoComm demonstrated the ever-changing nature of the audiovisual and video wall solution industry, with vendors already rolling out 8K video wall solutions.

Jason McGraw, CTS, CAE and Senior Vice President of Expositions at AVIXA, said the the AV industry “never stops innovating.” At Constant we know this to be true, and we never stop working to keep ourselves up to date so that we can provide the best audiovisual solutions to our clients project after project.
